Opened your book for Christmas… and have not been able to put it down… pretty impressive for someone who doesn't enjoy reading. Thank you!!!

I started and finished your book today. I honestly could not put it down. As I read Tim's journal entries my heart broke for the sadness that he lived with yet the joy he found in the sky and the stars. I am quite sure when he crossed through the veil he was greeted by your mother's loving and waiting arms. I am so grateful you were able to retrieve his mortal body and so that there could be some type of closer. When you went to Alaska recently were you able to go back to where his memorial marker stands or are you OK with not having to do that. I was surprised to read that your dad passed away in Alaska yet I am sure he felt the need to be close to all of his children. I appreciate your friendship and pray that by writing this book you too can find peace and comfort in the love of your family.

I just finished your book.
Unfortunately my writing skills are nowhere near yours or Tim's. I am at a loss for words about your book. I am humbled, inspired, and thankful that you blessed us with yours and Tim's story.
Thank you for sharing your heartache so that others can hear your story and be inspired!

With a writing style and approach just perfect for this story, Cynthia brings us, the readers, into her life and loss. For those who have lost a loved one, it is personally poignant. For others, it offers an intimate reminder to cherish and appreciate those close to us... even (or especially) the free spirits.

I loved the book! It is well written. The use of the English language is beautiful. I didn't want to put it down.

I LOVED this book! I have never lost anyone the way the Young's did and Cynthia's writing put me right there in the moment. It was absolutely fascinating being walked through the process of a search and rescue. Although I hope I never have to experience it for myself, this book was a beautiful memoir on how to deal with a tragedy of this nature.

I am not much of a reader, but I could not put this book down. The author's memories and the journal entries from her brother, who was lost in the plane accident, opened your heart and mind as you feel the fear, sadness and questions that come about by this tragedy.

I could not put this book down. It drew me in and held me captive until the last entry. I was totally immersed in the pages, and it gave me a new and insightful take on love and loss. Bravo!

Having grown up with the family, I was very interested in the story. It was disturbing to hear how the accident unfolded and that there are still lingering questions. I'm glad Cindy was able to put it in writing to help her with closure.

Although grief is unique to the individual experiencing it, there is a support, understanding and healing that can be provided and shared by others that have gone through similar loss or experience. Because of Cynthia's courage to share this amazing story, I am positive that many will find a level of comfort in some of their most challenging times, just as I did.
